Pilot Version — By Invitation Only

What GroundLog is

GroundLog is a field compliance logging tool for environmental inspection work. It is currently in beta and available by invitation only. It is not a commercial product and is provided as-is for pilot testing.

What data we collect

When you use GroundLog, we collect and store:

  • Your email address and account credentials (via Google Firebase Authentication)
  • Field log entries you create (daily logs, compliance notes, timesheet records)
  • Photos you upload, including GPS coordinates embedded in photo metadata
  • Field map markers and KML layers you import
  • Project configuration you enter (project name, organization, contractor)

All data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure under your individual account. No data is shared between users.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to operate the app for you. We do not share your data with third parties, use it for advertising, sell or license it in any form, or train AI models on it.

AI report generation uses the Anthropic Claude API. Field log content is sent to the API to generate your report and is not retained by Anthropic after the response is returned, per Anthropic's API data policy.

Your data, your responsibility

GroundLog is a logging and documentation tool. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you enter. GroundLog-generated reports are drafts — always review before submitting to any agency or client.

No warranty

GroundLog is provided as-is during this pilot period. There are no guarantees of uptime, data retention, or fitness for any particular purpose. Do not use GroundLog as your only record of compliance-critical information.

Changes and termination

This is a pilot. Features will change. Access may be revoked at any time. You will be notified of any significant changes to these terms.

Governing law

Config & Presets — Manage quick-insert chips that appear above text fields in the daily log.
Tag each preset to a phase. Only active phase presets (plus "All Phases") appear as chips. All edits save to this browser automatically.
Navigation Layout▾

Choose which pages appear in the 3 customizable nav slots. Slot 4 (More) is always fixed. You can also long-press any nav button to swap it quickly.

Project & Report Info▾

These values populate Section 01 on the daily log and persist through resets. Active Contractor sets the default — you can clear or change it per day directly on the log (e.g. for remote days with no crew on site).

Report Generation▾

Enter your Anthropic API key once to enable one-tap AI report generation. The key is encrypted and stored in Firestore — works across all your devices.

Map Settings▾

Configure the Field Map. Paste your Mapbox public token below to enable the map.

Timesheet Settings▾

Configure your timesheet defaults. Values apply to all timesheet calculations and persist through resets.
